Enterprise Bingo: Operational Rules & Challenge Grid

OFFICER NOTICE: Possession of this document by personnel of rank Lieutenant Junior Grade or higher will result in immediate confiscation. If questioned by Security or the Executive Officer, this document is officially classified as a "Simulated Tactical Morale Exercise."

Overview & Tradition

Enterprise Bingo is a sacred, unsanctioned tradition played exclusively by Ensigns, Cadets, and Lower Deckers aboard starships bearing the name Enterprise. The rules are simple: complete the unsanctioned challenges across shipboard operations without getting caught by senior officers, leading up to the ultimate hull mark tradition.

Section 1: Standard Rules of Engagement

1. Command Exclusion Rule

Participation is strictly restricted to crew members holding the rank of Ensign or lower. Department Heads, Executive Officers, and Commodore Targaryen are designated "Adversaries." If a senior officer catches you in the act, the square is voided and must be re-attempted on a different shift.

2. System Integrity Mandate

Tasks involving shipboard systems—including transporters, deflector arrays, and medical telemetry—must be reset to nominal Starfleet parameters immediately following completion. Causing actual structural damage or red alert conditions results in immediate disqualification and brig duty.

3. The Golden Rule: The Scorch Finale

Signing "The Scorch"—the historic burn mark on the exterior hull armor—is the mandatory final act of a completed Bingo card. Personnel are strictly forbidden from signing The Scorch until they have successfully completed the Orbital EV Leap. You must make the untethered jump across the hull envelope first before etching your initials into the alloy matrix.

Section 2: Official Enterprise Challenge Grid

Level Challenge Name Task Description & Execution Objective Risk / Penalty
Level 1 The Transporter Pattern Stamp Modify an internal bio-transporter diagnostic sweep so an incoming cargo container rematerializes with a temporary, harmless Starfleet Delta watermark etched into its packaging texture. Low (Transporter Chief irritation)
Level 1 The Reversed Shift Challenge Attach your combadge to the right side of your chest, part your hair in the opposite direction, and see how far through an 8-hour shift you can get before a senior officer notices or sends you to the brig. Low (Department Head confusion)
Level 1 The Biobed Diagnostics Prank Re-index Sickbay’s telemetry sensors so that every time a specific Lieutenant sits down on Biobed 3, the sensor array chirps a low-pitch "minor flatulence anomaly" diagnostic warning. Low (Sickbay duty reassignment)
Level 2 The Nacelle Whispering Duel Sneak into the plasma-conduit maintenance crawlspace running alongside the warp nacelles and hold a two-minute whisper duel with a crewmate without triggering environmental acoustic sensors. Moderate (Engineering crawlspace sweep)
Level 2 The Turbolift Floor-Is-Lava Run Navigate across three ship decks using only turbolifts and Jefferies tubes without letting your boots touch a primary turbolift floor plate (suction boots or handrail hanging only). Moderate (Corridor traffic embarrassment)
Level 2 The Replicator Gourmet Override Hack a lower-deck mess hall replicator to combine five completely incompatible alien condiments into a single edible dish, then clean your plate in front of your shift supervisor. Moderate (Mess hall cleanup duty)
Level 2 Hydroponic Night Foraging Sneak into the Science Division’s primary greenhouse during off-hours, harvest a single piece of off-limits botanical produce, and exit without triggering the environmental scrubbers. Moderate (Chief Botanist reprimand)
Level 3 The Cetacean Maintenance Dive Sneak into Cetacean Ops during off-peak hours, submerge to the bottom of the main tank to retrieve a placed marker, and exit without disturbing the cetacean navigation officers or triggering aquatic sensors. High (Navigational Officer annoyance)
Level 3 The Deflector Array Zero-G Toss Access a secondary deflector maintenance nook during sub-light travel, tether yourself, and successfully toss and catch a grav-ball in zero-g across the open bay matrix without triggering bridge telemetry pings. High (Sensor ping / Bridge alert)
Level 4 The Center Chair Ten-Second Hold Slip onto the Main Bridge during a shift change or routine maintenance window and sit in Commodore Targaryen's command chair for ten uninterrupted seconds without getting caught on internal logs. Catastrophic (Commodore's direct wrath / Court-martial)
Level 4 Sign the Scorch (The Grand Finale) Perform an unsanctioned EV spacewalk, execute an untethered leap across the hull envelope from the saucer rim to the secondary hull, locate the historic burn mark on the exterior armor, and etch your initials into the alloy matrix. Prerequisite: Must complete the EV leap first. Extreme (Vacuum exposure / Immediate brig sentence)
